Complaining of deteriorating security situation and the government’s failure to address the problems facing the Terai people, a cabinet minister and three parliamentarians have announced their resignation as members of the Interim Legislature Parliament.
Minister for Science, Technology and population Mahantha Thakur, who represents the Nepali Congress party, Hridayesh Tripathi, a lawmaker from Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi), Mehendra Raya of CPN (UML), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party lawmaker Ram Chandra Raya announced their resignations on Monday.
