NEPAL: HOME MINISTER SPITS VENOM AT PRACHANDA

TGW - The otherwise Maoist friendly Nepal’s Home Minister K.P. Sitaula spitting venom at Comrade Prachanda for his remarks aimed at appeasing the now cornered royalists, said, “it is not that unnatural for the authoritarians too see each other as nationalists.”

“Birds of same feather perhaps prefer to flock together”, was Sitaula’s message underneath

“The royalists cannot be nationalists…they have always gone against the people’s wishes”, Sitaula added talking to the press men in Bharatput, Chitwan District today.

Chitwan is the home constituency of Comrade Prachanda.

“By nature the Royalists and the Maoists have almost the same destination to reach…it is not otherwise for both of them to see each other as nationalists”, he said.

“It can be said that only the democratic minded political parties work in favor of the people…neither the Maoists nor the Royalists consider the people as sovereign” he continued.

This is the first time that Sitaula, a relative of Prachanda presumably-has come heavily down against his “relative” Comrade Prachanda.

How the two “relatives” now fair together in the days ahead will have to be watched.
