NEPAL: MAOISTS FAVORED MINOR KING PROPOSAL

TGW - Comrade Prachanda with the habit of making grand revelations at times, has once again thrilled the nation by saying that both the US and India had proposed the Maoists for accepting either a “Baby-King” or the “Minor King”, in their bid to save the institution of monarchy in Nepal.

He added that the two governments had also proposed the King for such a move in order to give continuity to the institution of monarchy.

Prachanda further added, that the King was not even in a mood to settle for less than a constitutional monarchy, let alone ceremonial one.

This does hint that the Maoists were ready to such a proposal forwarded by the US and India. This is intriguing.

He said this at a program in Bhairahawa organized by Muslim Liberation Front- a Maoist affiliate.

“If an agreement is not reached among the SPA (Seven Party Alliance) partners within the month of Mangsir (Dec 15), it will invite a constitutional crisis…the nation will head for a disaster”, he continued.

Prachanda also said that the country’s indolence is in danger at the moment.
