TGW - “India has time and again sketched false maps in order to illegally occupy Nepali lands along various parts of the Nepal-India border.”

Speaking at a program organized by the Janmorcha Nepal-Bardia chapter, last Saturday, district of Bardia, Border expert Mr. Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari declared that the “frontiers should be demarked as per the Sugauli Treaty”.

“In order to regulate the border, proper fencing and walls should be erected and the movement of the people should also be controlled using simplified passport system”, he continued.

“Such measures can only stop India from encroaching upon our lands on a regular basis”, Mr. Bhandari who is also a Jan Morcha leader added.

Mr. Bhandari also demanded that the border regulating committee formed in the past should also be dissolved.

India has formally occupied 2 lakh ropani of Nepali lands in 54 different locations and informally occupied 20 lakh ropanis of lands in 28 different areas, Mr. Bhandari further revealed.

Mr. Bhandrai concluding his remarks also told that India through its secret network in Nepal has “planted agents” who have been advocating for the division of Nepal as a nation state and that they are financing and supplying arms to those outfits.
